What To Do With Leftover Steak, II

The other day we were eating steak and Blair and I ended up sharing one. I knew I'd be fixing some type of peppers and onions over rice with that extra steak. Like I mentioned in What To Do With Leftover Steak, we grill our steak rare/medium rare, so it still tastes good and is tender when we reheat it.

INGREDIENTS:
Left over steak sliced thin
2 cloves garlic
1-2 colored peppers, sliced
1 Vidalia onion, sliced
1/4 cup Alabama Dixie Sauce (or Dale's)
1/2 cup water

In two tbsp. of butter and olive oil, saute the peppers and onions until still slightly crisp. Add garlic. Stir in seasoning sauce and water and blend well.

If you like a little thicker gravy, add 1 tbsp. cornstarch in a cup and add enough cold water to blend it. Pour into pan and blend well.

Add thinly sliced meat and let it heat just long enough to heat through.
Serve over a bed of rice.
