Creamy Cajun Pasta
If you enjoy a big bowl of spicy food every now and then, be sure to add this one to your SAVED recipes. I found the original recipe for Cajun Angel Hair on Delish.com. It was really good but we added additional heavy cream than their recipe. We like a sauce that's a little less thick and we tend to fix ahead and eat later.
INGREDIENTS:
INGREDIENTS:
1 small box pasta
1 lb. spicy sausage (bun sized sausage, not ground)
2 tbsp. butter
3 cloves minced garlic
Sliced green onions
1 lb. spicy sausage (bun sized sausage, not ground)
2 tbsp. butter
3 cloves minced garlic
Sliced green onions
1/4 cup chopped red onion
1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning
2 tsp. paprika
1/4 c. dry white wine
1 c. heavy cream (or more)
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Handfull of mozzarella cheese
1 tbsp. Cajun seasoning
2 tsp. paprika
1/4 c. dry white wine
1 c. heavy cream (or more)
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
Handfull of mozzarella cheese
Cook the pasta, drain and set aside while you saute sausage on medium-high stove in a little olive oil.
Move sausage to the side and add butter.

I chopped about four green onions and about half of a red onion and added them to the butter.
Cook these until the red onions softened a little bit.

Mix everything and add in the minced garlic. I usually buy the pre-minced garlic you
can find in the produce section. One teaspoon is the equivalent of a garlic clove.
Let it heat through and add the spices.

Once the cheese is melted, it's ready to spoon over some pasta.
Serve with garlic bread and a side salad.
