Upstairs Renovation is Complete!
I did trust the process and it was a painful one. If you own an old home, you know any project will turn into a surprise around every corner and more money.
The original plan was to do a basic refresh and get this house back on the market after Christmas after pulling it last October. It's too much space for me and my dog and I wanted to downsize. That plan turned into a gut job and then some.
Now I have even more space and there is no way I'm selling my home.
Life is about always having a plan B. Things never go as planned. You can let it defeat you or you can brush it off, move forward and not look back.
Two years ago, I lost my husband and was totally devastated. During this reno process, my dog was poisoned and almost died, I lost my sister-in-law to Glioblastoma and my granddaughter to a tragic accident on the first day of a family vacation. All within a seven month period.
They say the good Lord won't give you more than you can handle, but phew. I wish He didn't trust me so much.
I am committed to the next chapter of my life being a better, happier story.
Welcome to my bright and cheerful escape. The plan is to make some videos, cook and have friends over to eat, gather around the table and reconnect.
Don't you miss that? We are all so busy, we no longer take the time to engage in thoughtful conversation. We say, "let's do lunch...or dinner" and never muster up the time to follow through.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. We all have a story to share. I'd love to hear yours.
