Croutin Marinara

Sometimes the best recipes taste like happy accidents — like when your meatballs tumble off your grinder and you’re left staring at that glorious combo of bread, sauce, and melty cheese. This Crouton Marinara is basically that moment… only better. Crispy, cheesy, saucy layers baked into a bubbling casserole that is wildly addictive. Consider yourself warned: leftovers are not guaranteed. I may or may not be guarding the last bite for breakfast.

Huge shout out to @Kevandchip for the inspiration behind this delectable dish. His TikTok is hilarious, so be sure to check him out while you’re waiting for this beauty to come out of the oven.

And yes, I got fancy and used sauce out of a jar instead of a can. We’re elevating things over here.

Let’s get into it — step-by-step photos included so you can see exactly how this crispy, cheesy magic comes together.

INGREDIENTS:
2 bags DG brand Italian Seasoned Croutons
2 bags DG brand shredded cheese
Parmesan cheese
Spaghetti sauce
Garlic powder, onion powder and Italian seasoning

DIRECTIONS:
Spread one bag of croutons in the bottom of a casserole dish.

Top with shredded cheese.

Add a thin layer of spaghetti sauce on top.
Not too much. You don't want soggy croutons.

Next season with all spices and Parmesan cheese.
Repeat layers.
Bake in a 385° oven for 34 minutes.
